I am back with my Third Review on CBZ Xtreme. Well this review will be like a big Reading comprehension, But I think it will definelty draw you to a

conclusion on CBZ Xtreme.

My Bike has done with 7500km with 4 services completed.

I have to tell you, As old my bike is becoming I am loving it more.

As with my previous reviews, I will do with step by step technical aspects of the bike.

  1. Engine: My motor has done 7500km in City roads only, so its has never tasted till now pure highways. As known CBZ Xtreme has got best engine in the 150cc

Seg bike, Apache RTR is also included in the 150cc Seg. Smooth as it can be. No issues till now with the engine, its already 7 months old now. Powerful as

it is.

  1. Gears:  Again one of the smoothest gear shifts I found in its segment. 1 down 4 up pattern as introduce in old CBZ feels sporty with operating only by

the toe. Gears become more smoother when engine has got heated up properly. Minimum effort is needed, no need to force the gear lever to shift the gear.

I dont know what magic the service center guys do everytime I give it for servicing, Changing gears become as if I am typing on a keyboard.

  1. Speed: Acceleration, too good. Though I dont race with my bike, But in rare instances when some rider provokes me, he feels sorry later. Bike jumps

like someone poked it from behind. Top speed i've reached on my CBZX is 120kmph, But speedo error with + or - 2kmph. So I can say topspeed as 118kmph.

This I have done only twice, later never crosses 90kmph till now. Cos I love my bike and dont want to overload it.

  1. Handling: All the bike review websites, magazines and blogs have accepted CBZ Xtreme has got best handling and comfort in its segment. And I am also happy

or xtremely satisfied with its comfort and handling. I almost bend my bike at 30-40 degrees at sharp turns in low speeds. Though I dont drive very fast but I

drive a bit rash. I love the bikes handling in the traffic, just need a gap to fit in my handle bar, I can easily cut through the traffic with out putting my

legs down. Thanks to its evenly distributed weight and its aerodynamics which no other bike (closely followed in unicorn) has scientifically have in it.

  1. Braking: I wont say Xtreme's Braking is extremely satisfying, But its lots better than other bikes. Disc brake is definitely must for this bike as its bit

heavy than others. But I never found any problem in stopping my bike to the point where I want to.

  1. Mileage: Here come the aspect where we become INDIANs. Well I never expected the mileage I am getting from bike now. When I was prepared to buy this bike,

I was ready accept its mileage of 45kmpl, as the Previous version of CBZ was not good at this aspect.

But to my surprise, Before first servicing I got 50kmpl, After second service it raised to 55kmpl. From there on I constantly get 59kmpl. When I use SHELL

Super Petrol, I get mileage of 63kmpl, So I am have been using SHELL petrol since 4 months.

  1. Looks: Every year around 10-15 bikes, Each has got its own features, but all are different on its looks. I never wanted to buy pulsar, due to its

performance, maintenance issues, and it has become a common bike by that time, Even its newer version never impressed me with digital meter and all other

stuff. But CBZ Xtreme had completely different looks, people said and I guess still beleive that CBZX is not a good looking bike, But people should look it

in its flesh, and definetly they will change their opinion. And Looks doesnt matter afer few months, What matters is Engine and after sales service which are

best for CBZ Xtreme.

What made me to buy CBZ Xtreme??

When I was studying MPC, one day I saw a bike which my dad was driving that was owned by the company where he works. A huge Black, Shiny, Making a beautiful

thump from its silencer. That's was Classic CBZ 1999 model. From then I have become die hard fan of it. Till now I never found such a beautifully designed

bike in India till now, Even though few claim that Pulsar is good looking bike. I dont agree with that.

When I came to know that production of CBZ was stopped, I was bit worried. I cancelled by plans of buying a bike.

In End of 2006 I saw a bike on roads, with uniquely looking Grab Rail, Different looking Tail lamp, Huge look from its side profile, I was searching the name

of the bike, To my surprice I saw CBZ Xtreme written on it. My eyes glowed a bit.

That day I went on to google images and searched for CBZ Xtreme's Pics, I did not found many pictures. I was bit worried about the Headlamp design. But

Picture cant be the source where final decision can be taken.

So next day went to showroom, and had close look at the bike, Its completely different as it was in pictures. I took it for a test ride and felt awesome on

it. guys riding pulsar's were trying to follow the bike to have a closer look.

At that time I decided to get this bike, Though its not as good looking as old CBZ, But its aerodynamics, Weight balancing has taken me over. In fact old CBZ

wasn't better in that.

After that 4 months of researches on bikes starting from basics of bikes till internal engineering of engine I studied and shortlisted only Unicorn and CBZ

Xtreme( Pulsar was never on my list) as my bike.

But Hero Honda Brand came in to the picture, Which is known for its quality products, Good after sales service and final selection was CBZ Xtreme, and I am

very happy owner of it.
