Hey Guys


4 months since the last review ''Definitely a 'mature' male'' and here I am once again.In the 4 months I got to know many of the MS users-Coyotee, Pulsarian,and the controversial Whizzkids chakrabirsingh,Devil_Genx etc


Its been 6months , 3 services and one Hellish accident with My blood red UNI,The accident created by a froggish 100cc bike jumping in front of the fast moving UNI and the subsequent evasive manouvere led to a skid and the UNI crashed over ,crash landing me in a freakin hospital being fusssed over by Pretty nurses(Mmm hell to heaven I guess;)).There was bit of forehead injury due to lack of a HELMET which I sorely regret not wearing!!!


The surprising thing was despite the damage to the bike,my buddy who came to pick the UNI could still start her up in a jiffy and except for a few jangling loose parts rode it all the way home.It speaks volumes on the solidness and reliability of the UNI



back to business


The FIRST SERVICE was uneventful with literally no change in all parameters


SECOND SERVICE (4th month)


After the second service ,throttle power had increased immensly and higher torque was realised over as there was increased acceleration and there was need for fewer gearshift with the bike travelling at 20-30km/hr at the 5th gear without any engine strain.


Well its was not all gain.The engine vibrations had crept in .Although not as much as the P150 , it was a bit upsetting as the Legendary USP of the UNI was its silky smooth engine.The mileage remains the same though at around 52-55kmpl on combo driving(city and highway).The service people assured that the vibrations would smoothen out after a couple of kilometres on the odometer.


One matter was clear ,despite increase in performance the quality of service done was dismal .Even then I decided to wait it out as suggested by them hoping the vibrations would fade out


On the contrary the vibrations worsened and engine started to splutter on acceleration which clearly indicated misfiring in the engine.



THIRD SERVICE(after 6th month)


Due to the issue of engine splutter and excessive vibration ,i deposited the bike back two weeks before the 3rd service due date .I asked to speak to a technician directly .I explained to him all the issues and politely insisted that the service be done immediately.I was surprised that they not only agreed to do so immediately but also they worked a good 1.5hours on my bike..tuning and test riding it.


That was sure was a change in the attitude of the sevice guys.I guess this was because I gave the bike at around 3:00pm on a weekday and the techs had very less work in their hands.They did their best for the UNI and BOYYY!!! it really shown!!!!The bike literally purred and the engine was much smooother with delivery of power ...... as good as ever.....Way to go ....much impressed!!!


The bike still gives around 52-55kmpl due to my high revving habits and 2nd gear kind of traffic mixed with 15-20km highway rides all combined.Happy to say everything is fine as of now and the UNI still does impress.



So thats it about the review..... I am Leavin a few suggestive general pointers on the UNi below


<EXCITE ELEMENTS IN THE UNI>


Some may say the UNI has no excitable engine sound .which is true..in most cases...;)a Shift in the gear to 3rd & revving till 60-70km/hr gives out a head turning roooaar , much akin to a muffled Yamaha RX100 at top throttle.Not only is the sound sexy but accelerating at the third gear gives the fastest accelerating time for the UNI.Excellent when getting out of nifty situations and for lightning quick overtakings


-Also as a remedy to the weak horn.Try out the twin horns manufactured by MOODS(not what u think guys;)).Its cheaper than ROOTS equivalent and is one hell of a blaster...even truckers respond to it.


COST :around Rs300(Its worth it)


<REGARDS TO SERVICE CENTRES>


The best time to visit a service centre is on weekdays like wednesdays or Thursday especially between 3-4pm when they are least busy.The change in attitude is noticeable just as the difference in quality of SECOND and THIRD service of my UNI.


So thats it dudes....i tried puttin all what I remember for now in this review.Hope its useful and do comment on any add-ons or opinions.I request anything extra to be shared which will help fellow wing riders like me have a better experince with our UNI's
