Hi,

Its been 6 months since I have bought the bike and it doesn't give me a mileage more than 40kmpl, I tried everything and even argued with the sales person. He remarked finally that the hero honda vehicles are more concentrating on shape than engine and he doubts if the company will be in existence after 2yrs as the sales are not good and all the customers are complaining.

My sincere advice don't experiment..if you can pay 49k for a vehicle with 40 mileage then go in for a Pulsar which has a better pickup and mileage. The best evident is the number of bikes...have you ever imagined why you dont see ambition as much as pulsar. People are smart enough to go a for agood bike and pulsar proved it. If you want mileage go for CT100 deluxe.

I had even emailed the passport program people regarding the mileage and they didnt even bother to answer me back. I really doubt the persons who are posting a mileage of 55kmpl for Ambition. If it was really the case people would have gone for that vehicle. Now I am going to loose lot of money as there is no resale value as well.

Bajaj vehicles are good now. Gone are the days for Hero Honda.

People dont experiment with ur money as I did when you are investing a large amount.

*HONESTLY, I HAVE BEEN DAMN CAREFUL IN THE WAY I DRIVE..I HAD NOT CROSSED 40 FOR 1500 KM and when I quarrelled with the sales man person the showroom person acknowledged it for its mileage..more than this review just look around..if the bike was so good then you would have found it all around you but where is that crowd..people are buying pulsar now as it is too good..you can always doubt when you get a negative review on it...ask ur conscience..if the vehicle was good enough then you would find it. Everywhere but I hardly find it anywhere..

OK Finally I have got rid of my Ambition 8months back. I have moved to Pulsar and I am one of the happiest person on Earth. Ambition being 135CC gave me a mileage of only 45KMPL and on the other hand I have a pulsar 150CC which gives me a mileage of 55-66 KMPL. When driving a little harsh i.e above 55 KMPH speeds I get a mileage of 55 and when I am quite careful in my driving limiting my speeds to 50-55KMPH I get a mileage of 60 plus. This is awesome and the power, comfort are unbelievable great. I thought the mileage will be bad after 6 months, but things are looking good. I have been observing lately that Hero Honda vehicles are quite flashy on the exterior but some of the worst vehicles when it comes to performance and engine. Itz as though Hero Honda has left the bike industry and moved over to Fashion designing.

Well Hero Honda should come out of the studio market and concentrate more better engines or they can very well quit from the Bike market. They are surviving on the legacy Splendour which is why they have Splendour plus and now Super Splendour. People can be fooled for some time and things are not going to be sweet for them always.

I would say people going for a Bike, Pulsar is one ideal choice.
