I have my Hero Honda Ambition 135 (Black) bought in 2005 Feb (Manf - 2004) is doing very well. I will get a mileage of 48 km - 55 km in citi drives. The bike never given me any trouble to me. Just put petrol and run it. Just as all other bikes, do the regular services at Hero Honda Service Centers only.

Over 7.6 years now, I still can't find much difference between this bike. As per public view it is failed because:

Hero honda has all 100cc bikes at that time, they launched CBZ - 150cc, but mileage was very poor. As India is well known for mileage vehicles. At the same time, Bajaj also introduced Pulsar 150cc with lesser price compared to CBZ. So public opted that. Again mileage is the issue with Pulsar also.

So, Hero Honda wanted to give performance with mileage, but by that time, other companies like Bajaj, TVS introduced new models. That was the drawback.

After 2006 year, people started buying bikes with more power, irrespective of mileage it gives, so like that Hero Honda AMBITION lose its market. (Other bikes, Glamour, Super Splender etc), Yamaha - Libero, Crux etc.
