Well its been almost 2 years now that I wrote a crisp review of any product which deserved to be mentioned about. Finally, I came across this which was in first place weird to me as to y anyone would read a review on sauce which is not that important as an ingredient in Indian Cooking.

I must say that sauce is the life and the soul of the food, it adds that essential flavour which can differentiate between good food and great food. Moving on to the review now, happy reading to all my avid readers.

Company Profile: Heinz is a global food processing company with presence in almost every country on this planet. Its history dates back to 1869 and it has revenues of over 11 billion$. To add to that it was recently acquired by one of the smartest Investor on this planet Mr. Warren Buffet. Great products do come from great companies which have a great history & heritage behind its brand value.

Why HEINZ Tomato Sauce: The tomato sauce sold in Indian sub-continent is heavily adulterated with stuff which includes artificial preservatives, artificial colors, artificial flavours, thickeners and tomatoes grown in pest  and insecticide contaminated farmlands of India. So all these invisible dangers looming around, I decided to shift over to some quality sauce which was free from all these above mentioned unwanted stuff harmful to the human digestive system.

Product Details:- Heinz tomato ketchup sold in India is processed in their Aligarh(Uttar Pradesh) plant, what I am referring to here is the sauce which is imported from Netherlands(Europe) by Heinz India pvt ltd. It is the best sauce available in the Indian market at present. No preservatives, artificial flavours, thickeners, colours. The label clearly states the weight of the tomatoes used up for the preparation of one bottle of the sauce also you will find the nutritional information with calorie count. No indian sauce label is so finely detailed and crisp in information, they usually mention the percentage of the tomatoes as weight of the total sauce which I feel is bogus and completely false.

Packaging: The sauce is neatly packed in a pet bottle upside-down orientation for easily storage and handling of the bottle. The shape is so attractive that it is difficult to take eyes off from it while sitting on the dining table. There is temper proof seal which guarantees that you are buying the genuine product. As Indian maket is flooded with look alikes of the original sauces because of the poor implementation of food safety and trademark law act due to corruption in the govt machinery.

Taste and Flavour: The day I tasted this sauce for the first time, my taste center in the brain experienced firecrackers and my taste buds got busted with rain of true tomato flavours. The consistency is so thick and uniform that you don't even need to shake it. The color is so natural red just like the tomatoes of organic farmland. And if combined with the goodness of chilly pakoras Indian style the combo is definitely deadly. It is so addictive that when I visit any food joint I prefer to carry my own sauce along with myself. It totally gives a new angle to the old food which we are so use to eat everyday.

Nutritional Information: Per serving that is approximately 15 gm the calorie intake would be 76 KCal, all those weight conscious ppl plz do keep a watch while consuming.

Shelf Life: Once opened the sauce has to be refrigerated and consumed within a period of 8 weeks. If sealed then it has a shelf life of 15 months.

Availability: The Heinz imported tomato sauce is difficult to locate and buy if you are in a Tier-2 or Tier-3 city because it is imported for serving the best and elite customers which I believe are mostly in Metropolitan cities of India. I bought it from Sri Venkateswara Supermarket(Velacherry)(Chennai). Even Spencers, Reliance Fresh, More, Big Bazaar weren't having the stock. So one must put on the running shoes to search the market for the best Sauce.

Price: It is the only con that I was able to point to, similar quantity of sauce made in India would cost around 80-100 INR, but this is 199/-(MRP) But I think, one should have quality food even if the food is safe, healthy, nutritious and devoid of any harmful chemicals.
