Heinz Tomato Ketchup is extremely yummy to taste, pure and natural. I came across this ketchup a few days back in a local store and was at first, apprehensive about buying it, but decided to give it a try.

We had been used to eating Kissan and Maggi ketchups all through childhood and had never heard of this Heinz ketchup brand. I had never seen any advertisement of this ketchup on TV etc. And I guess not many people know about this brand still.

This ketchup is manufactured by Heinz Qingdao Food Co. Ltd in Beijing in China. It is imported by Heinz (India) Pvt. Ltd. Heinz has been in this business since 1869 ! Can you believe that ? That means this is a much older brand compared to Kissan and Maggi !!

Heinz at a glance:

Heinz is a $10 billion global company Heinz products enjoy #1 or #2 market share in more than 50 countries Heinz sells 650 million bottles of its iconic Ketchup every year Heinz's top 15 power brands account for more than two-thirds of its annual sales Heinz employs approximately 32, 500 people around the globe Heinz is a responsible corporate citizen committed to safe practices, environmental stewardship and giving back to the community Heinz was founded in Sharpsburg

(a suburb of Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania, in 1869 by entrepreneur Henry John Heinz

The ingredients are water, tomato paste, vinegar, sugar, salt and extracts of onion, garlic and spices. One should consume it within 8 weeks of opening - that's what is written on the bottle. I bought when it was 50% free i.e. for 200 gm original bottle, there was 100 gm free on it, making it a total of 300 gm priced at Rs. 30.

Now this is much lesser compared to the Kissan and Maggi varieties, which are definitely priced at a much higher level, though I don't know the exact prices of Kissan and Maggi. So Heinz is definitely value for money without compromising on its taste and freshness.

I would highly recommend this product to all. After all, we should try out several brands and I believe in giving all brands a fair chance, and not be a victim of massive advertising campaigns and buy just a few brands because of that. In a nutshell, go give it a try ! You will never regret buying Heinz Tomato Ketchup !!
