Please read till the end before you buy any of HealthGenie products. I don't have any intention to badmouth anyone, this is a genuine experience of mine.


I bought a Weighing scale(HealthGenie brand) through Flipkart and the [product was delivered to me on 16 June. I opened up the product and turned it ON on 17th June and left for a business trip for 3 weeks.


Come back after 3 weeks and see that the weighing scale does not turn ON. Suspecting the battery, I immediately replaced the battery and it did turn ON but does not turn off by itself, which it is supposed to - per design. So, that basically explains why the product was dead when I returned, the Scale does not turn off automatically and the battery gets drained. It does not have a ON/OFF switch either. So one has to open up the battery case and remove the battery each time. It attempts to turn off but turns back ON immediately.


I immediately reached out to Flipkart and reported the issue, they mentioned that the product has a 10 day replacement only and since 10 days have passed, I will have to contact the seller directly for warranty.


Filled out the web form and waited for 3 days, no one contacts me. I call flipkart again and they give me a mobile number of the seller. I called into the Mobile and the guy who picks up straight away asks me to call later since he is busy. WOW! I tell him I am looking for support and I am not jobless to keep calling later. He says he will arrange a call back.


1 day passes, no call back, I call in again and he hands over the phone to someone else. That person says, he is raising a warranty ticket and someone will call me back and disconnects the call. No call for 2 days so I call back on the same number. He says, they tried but were not able to reach me. Ok! I agree to share a video of the defect over email.


Video shared and 1 day passes. I get a mail that team is looking into it. Weekend passes, ask for update. After 1 day I get a call that I need to pack the product in the original packing and send it to Delhi from Hyderabad on my own expenses, they will repair it and send it back to me for which I need to pay again.


So, the company expects me to spend my own money to ship a crappy 900 Rs product that never worked correctly and is draining battery after battery due to the malfunction and think that it is perfectly normal and expect me to be happy with their services.


Go look for more stupid customers Healthgenie, you don't deserve to be selling on Flipkart with you worst customer service and even more worst products.
