I bought H & S about 6 weeks ago, just for a change & it was on offer at the supermarket. I visited my hairdresser (who has been my trusted hairdresser for 10yrs now) last Saturday. Prior to this I had noticed that my hair didn't look as thick or healthy over the past couple of weeks. I hadn't been ill or anything like that, I understand illness can affect your hair condition.
Anyway, when Roseanne my hairdresser had washed & conditioned my hair, she asked me what shampoo & conditioner I had been using lately. I told her H & S & she was horrified! She told me that all H & S range of products strips the hair of nutrients, natural oils, hair color etc. & damages from root to tip. The products contain damaging sulphates & starts the damage from the first application. I have short hair & the ends did start to look extremely brittle. She recommended good quality products, bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for & only need a small amount. Plus an overnight treatment to use twice a week for the next 4 weeks till I saw her again.
Not doubting her word in any way, I also asked advice from a hair & nail product wholesalers (my daughter is a beautician). A very helpful girl who knows her hair products, gave me the same reaction when I told I was using H & S! NO! she said, 'bing the lot & don't ever use again.' Its not just my hair type that it effects but every hair type!
She advised me on treatment products, without damaging sulphates or any other chemicals, like shampoo, conditioner & treatment products to use for the coming weeks, to restore my hair health & condition to how it should be. HEAD & SHOULDERS SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE SHELVES & BANNED!! I ADVISE YOU ALL NOT TO USE ANY OTHER THE HEAD & SHOULDERS PRODUCTS!!
