Hayee Sohniye Hans Raj Hans T-Series; Cassette; Rs. 50 Hans Raj Hans’s new music album ‘Haaye Sohniye’ well fits in the ‘Punjabi pop’ category. Songs are equipped with peppy lyrics and fast beat music. But from a singer of Hans Raj Hans calibre one expects something better and here his fans will be little disappointed, as the album lacks freshness. Most of the lyrics and music sound very familiar for its lyrics as well as music. Hans Raj Hans has an earthy and rich voice, which does wonders with Sufiyana (spiritual) libretto. But most of the song in ‘Hayee Sohniye’ simply lacks fresh lyrics and mediocre music makes this cassette an ordinary one. Though “Panchi Udd Gaye” song have a sort of philosophical approach but fails to reveal the real talent of the singer. One song that stands out is title number Hayee Sohniye, even this lacks that fizz, we associate with Hans raj Hans and could fail to be an outright hit in the PPP that is Popular Punjabi Pop category.
