We decided to purchase a cooker from our locality in bangalore. At initial stages, we saw many cookers, including local made. But I was sure that we are not going to buy a local cooker, as issues of safety is attached with it. So we targeted on some good cookers. This cooker, incidently, I bought for making small quantities of food for our kid.
About 2 months back, I purchased a small Hawkins pressure cooker, it is giving problems (content comes out of it), went to shopkeeper (JK Steel, Basveshwaranager, Bangalore - 79) and his contact in Bangalore, tried to reach the Hawkins Mumbai customer care, NOTHING HAPPENS.
THEY are simply trying to avoid CUSTOMER with problems.
I am trying to reach Hawkins senior management in Mumbai/ elsewhere for this matter. This may not be very big issue for them, but their image is at stake.
So morale of the story: Although there is (or was) perception that HAWKINS is a good cooker (& company), but don't buy anything from HAWKINS.
