Unconditional Love
Aug 03, 2001 12:46 PM 1472 Views

Pets are so loving and caring they can give you unconditional love without any thing in return.

They can understand you and always be next to you whenever you are sad and tries to do something funny that can make you happy.

They care for you and love you so much that they can even die without you.

From childhood I was addicted to pets. I had a dog and two cats, five parrots(they were never kept in the cage) fourteen rabbits, a tortoise, lots of birds and fishes.

I remember once when I was coming back from school I saw a puppy it was hardly a day old crying in the rain without his mom in a bush, I tried to search his mom but waste. And I was not able to stop myself by taking it home because it was raining very heavily and I thought it would die.

His eyes were not even opened when I bought him home and my mom was so angry on me that she told me to give away the puppy but my sweetheart dad supported me and finally my mom was ready to keep the puppy at home. And we named him Johnny.

I had a major problem with it because it was only a day old and only I was the one who had to take care of it, literally I had sleepless nights for him because I had to feed him milk with a feeding bottle like a child. Soon he was our family member he was so loving that even my mom started liking him. He was with us where ever we went.

He was so attached to me that he never even had food without me(I mean I have to literally sit with him) finally after seven years my mom decided to send me to Bombay and I had to shift without my dog. And after two months when I went back to meet my parents my dog was missing and when I asked my mom and dad they were not ready to tell me. I stopped talking to my mom because I thought she must have given him away(as she gave away all my pets) than my dad told me the bitter truth that my dog was dead a day before I reached, and I cursed my self for not being on time.

And when my sister told me that Johnny(my dog) had stopped eating since I shifted to Bombay & was sick. I decided not to get any more pets through out my life. But after some months when I was not able to forget my dog my sweetheart fiancé gifted me a month old, white Persian cat(Tweety, now she is two years old, furry and huge) I love her a lot and can do anything for her.

I never feel lonely when she is around she likes to sleep next to me & play with my hair.

But my personal request to those who really love pets is that never ever keep a pet unless until you can really give them time and love. And except you, there should be some one else who is a pet lover and really can take care of your pets when you are not at home.

Till date I hold my self-responsible for my dog’s death.
