Y-A-W-NTED . Review on Haunted

I'm personally an ardent fan of horror/thriller  movies and i'm sure many out here share the same feeling.we all once in a while love watching good Horror movies , like being scared and then laugh on ourselves  , dont we?

HORROR MOVIES : There is something about this genre that fascinates us all  as it creates fear amongst us , scary moments that freaks us out with the creepy sounds , This is one emotion that we all enjoy watching on Big screen with our   family/friends .

With the same intention I decided to watch Haunted 3d , well to be very honest I was very skeptical before watching this movie, i had lot of questions in my mind , will vikram bhatt recreate the magic of 1920 ?? (one of my fav and wihout any doubt one of the best Horror movie till date ) , will he be able to do justice to 3d format ?? and also bcoz the reviews were mixed but after going through some positive reviews on mouthshut I decided to give it a go for yesterday's late night show .

unfortunately  I came out of the multiplex with a BIG disapointment ....

PLOT   :I wont go in depth talking about the plot as there is nothing new , its the same haunted house which has a gloomy 80 yrs old story and spirits with unfinished business.

WHAT'S GOOD :   For any horror movie its life lies in  a good background score and fortunately the background score of this movie is very good if not excellent , it does make some of the scenes look scary . special effects and makeup  are remarkable , 3d effects are average to good (i said average because its of no match to the effects of Avatar or Rio which is still fresh in mind and good bcoz as per Bollywood standards they are quite decent  ) having said that if you decide to watch this movie watch it only in 3d . Songs of this movie are very good as it plays in background I strongly recommend buying a CD of this movie as the songs are very hummable and last but not least the cinematography is excellent .

==WHAT'S NOT:  ==Everything else apart from what is mentioned above , movie is too cliched in many places , Everything starts on the right foot but soon there's way too much happening , acting by the lead actors are below average specially by  Mahaakshay (mimoh) , Vikram bhatt uses the same old formula to scare you which we have seen and experienced  many a times infact you yourself can predict what is going to happen next .

Moments of genuine Scares are very far and  few , there are some scenes which will make you laugh (though they were meant  to scare you) the way story unfolds you cant help but wonder how absurd they sound .

FINAL VERDICT : If you are ready to leave logic behind and watch an average horror movie this movie could satisfy you for those who want to get really sacred watch 1920 again on your home theatre or wait for INSIDEOUS to release in India .

for 3d fans I recommend watching RIO .
