I am writing this review just to make people aware of the deceiving strategies of Hathway Broadband Internet service.
The connections they are selling as “Unlimited” are actually not unlimited. They are governed by their fair usage policy. They sell it to you as an unlimited connection. And later reduce your connection speed. See this web link:

Their sales people are trained to trick this out of your notice when you take the connection. Make sure you ask the sales guy about the fair usage policies. Their documents do not mention this directly on paper.
They do not sell “Unlimited” connections at all.
I got a hard time discovering this. While seeking an unlimited Internet connection I approached Hathway. Their sales man came to me and offered this said to be “Unlimited connection”. 512 KBPS for three months at a reasonable price. What he did not explain to me is a cap on bandwidth, the connection was actually limited for that speed at 5 GB and after that it is downgraded to 128 KBPS, which is summarily unusable.
They play this cheating trick in a very organized manner. When I went to their(Prabhat Road office in Pune) they put all the blame on the salesman, that he failed to explain the rules to me. And the oldest trick in the book: “That particular sales man has left their company.”There I stood cheated and demanded to meet their manager. They told me the manager’s mother is in hospital and he is not picking up the phone.
Soon, it appeared to me that all the people whom I could meet in their office are either in hospital, or on leave due to emergencies at home.Needless to say this organization is rotten to the core and they are cheating the public in a very organized way.
This happened to me, I do not want it to happen to you. So, beware.
