I've been using Hathway Internet for many years now. They started off very well. For many years I was proud of my choice. The internet speed, the unlimited download capacity, and prompt service made it an automatic choice.
Since they past year and 8 months or so, there has been a massive drop in satisfaction. Speeds are poor and inconsistent and the connection is very unreliable. Down time has increased and one needs to login over and over again. The service is still alright.
Horror of horrors, the unlimited package is not without its conditions. Certain speeds can't be maintained if you go over a certain "fair usage" limit. This "fair usage" limit is pretty low. The only good thing about this ISP now is the low cost.
I will recommend Hathway only if there is no other alternative. I will shift to another ISP as soon as this year's contract is over.
