I have been using Airtel. After getting convinced by the hathway executive, I had placed an order for two 50MBPS connection on March 29 with an assurance that it would be up and running within 24 hours. As per his instructions, post dated cheques(for April 3) were issued. Since the connectivity was not provided in time, we cancelled the order and were assured that the cheques would not be deposited and would be returned within a week.


To my surprise, the cheques were encashed. After discussion, I was assured that the money would be deposited in my account within seven days. Again, this did not happen.


Then, there were numerous calls from your office and it was finally agreed that a connection would be installed on April 27. Accordingly, the wiring was done and your executive told us that we just need to switch on the router(Hathway a/c no- 1099197702). Upon switching on, we found that it is not working. We waited till May1 to see that the connection is started, but it didn't happen. On May 2, I contacted the customer care no at 11 AM and was assured that an executive would visit us within an hour. Since there was no visit and no info till late evening, the connection was cancelled AGAIN.


The cancellation was accepted and we were informed that the money would be deposited in our account within 7 days. After some days(in May itself), I received a call from your billing department saying that the cancellation has been done and the money would be deposited in my account within 30 days.


Meanwhile, the executive finally managed to reach our house on May 5 and informed us that the cables are still being laid and therefore the connection could not be given. I was quite aghast since the connection was originally supposed to start on March 31. How can somebody sell the connection and encash the cheques without having the infrastructure in place.


As of writing this mail(23 July), the money has not been deposited in my account and I have not received any reply to my mail(s) regarding the same.


Only go for Hathway if you have enough time and patience to consistently follow up with their non-working personals and processes.
