Different packages which Hathway offers :
1.Dedicated line connection: In this a user need to Buy a cable modem around (Rs.8000) and he gets connection with dedicated bandwidth, which means the speed which one gets is constant at a any given time : This type of connection
the only disadvantage is there is Download limit. Around 500 MB that mean if
one download more then that he is charged Rs.2 /- per MB
2.Share connection [ OL24 connection ] In This Type of Connection the user does not need to buy a modem the company provides the modem & it’s shared among around 3 people using a hub. The connection speed is around 64 KB and I think its pretty good for the price you pay around Rs.750 + 60 Rs. Service Tax that is what I pay the Advantage of this type of connection is there is no download limit, unlimited download only catch is that when more number of user there the speed get slightly reduced but considering its unlimited download this turn out to be damn good package

To Get the cable internet OL24 Connection
I visited the Hathway Website to learn more about the package but to my surprise I couldn’t not find more about the package could be Hathway didn’t wanted to publicize it much [ think if all go for this unlimited package there network would Errr Congested ] I contacted my local cablewala he provided me with the hathway form which was filled and gave
I had to pay registration charge Rs.1000/- +Rs.3000/- installation charges ,I was given option to let them put LAN card which is required to be installed in computer in Order to get shared cable internet connection Or I get it installed myself.. I bought it myself from laminton road you’ll probably get it for around Rs.500 out there for which otherwise they would have charged me double the Price if I had bought it from them anyways after everything was done.
I was told the installation would be done within 3-4 days. But it took more then week to get it installed and consistent calling them and reminding them to do so urgently

No connectivity problem At times & customer support
I must give hathway 9 out of 10 for customer support they are very helpful, they have this 24/7 customer care center one call call them up. When I had this no connectivity problem net was down around 2 days in whole months isn’t that bad for the at all I called up customer care they tried to solve the problem from backend and I was giving a complain No. I could check the status of the complain by calling them any moment ,The next day Hathway engineers visited and checked the connection and the problem was rectified I was impressed
When the Internet goes down for more then week or so one need to literally threaten them that you won’t be paying this month bill. In order to get it done soon and urgently but this happens rarely only when their problem with your connection and the network is running fine, it happened once with me the wire was broken in between somewhere so I was getting slow almost no connectivity the problem was solved soon

What I like best about hathway are
They provided unlimited download ;)
They got this speed test page where one can check what the speed he/she is getting and compare with what they suppose to get [value for money] ;) Good *customer care support
no telephone bill to use internet I save so much ;)

my advise Don’t have high hope
if you expecting cable net means… 512 KB internet access like in USA and other country then your probably wrong the cable internet revolution is at initial stage you may be getting 512 Kb but at a price very High so be content as for home user 64 Kb is good enough think about the money you save on your monthly telephone its worth buying the cable internet if you surf or use internet for more then 2 hr a day.
