After long time I found a right forum to show my frustration on hathway. I took hathway unlimited plan 128 kbps for 600rs per month on pre-paid basis.....for 3 months juz to avoid modem rental and deposit amount.... so I end-up by paying 1800/- in advance for 3 months.
Their technicians came and installed the cables and modem within 2 days. I switched on my lap-top and everything was working good. When their technician left.I switched off my lap-top and started surfing again after having my dinner.....
here the story begins. Since then the problem started..... I was not able to browse...to my surprise....2 hrs before all was fine. All of sudden how come it happened....????
As usual...I called CC. To my great surprise, they don't know how to speak in english..Since I am from north staying here in HYD, , , , so don't know the local lang.
some of the conversation samples below .... after telling them my cust Id.....
CC : What is the problem sir ?
ME: My net connection is not working
CC : Its working no ...... problem is at your side ..... we will arrange a call back...
ME : I was waiting for 3 days...then called up again...after long fight...I got one person who was from their technical dept.
CC : What is the problem...
ME : I was so angry that time...I said problem is you only.... then said my net is not working...
CC : said... sir problem is with your system, just FORMAT your system and try again......look at ...how techies they are.....hats off to their tecnicians..... :)
ME : from past 3 yrs I am using this lap-top...i have geniune windows versions and Norton...who wil provide me all these things again... I said I am a software engineer...so don't give me these s**t reasons....
CC : techie guy, ., , , , I will call you in 15 mins....
No call then for next 2 days.....
ME: called up again..... same old story, what is the problem sir...this time I really started laughing.....
CC : one techy came on-line...sir instal mozilla Firfox instead of IE:)
to my surprise.... I said how it could resolve the problem....
I banged the fone..... then tried to find the solutions thru windows available help... then tried to ping my IP address..... here I got the problem, ...I was not able to ping the IP.
I immediately called CC and told them the problem ..... they gave me new IP..... To gr8 sigh of relief...net started working....
But this is not the End...... after 1 week again it stopped working..... then again CC....power is down....server is down bla bla......
In short... hathway and its Cust care (CC) is Dull , Drab, Dreary and Dry as Dust.... It really SUCKS
I am just waiting for my subscription to get over...since I paid 1800 in advance....
Can anyone please let me know how is Beam cable system :)
