Hattrick is the second movie in a short span which touches the subject of NRIs and their mind sets( you may call it dilemma or double standard or .genuine self search . whatever), after Namaste London. Though, its much more brief and less passionate then the earlier one.

There are three stories interwoven around cricket. Nana Patekar is a doctor in a govt hospital, whose has given up all his passions for his profession that is providing cure to patients. He has a larger sense of family( read society) welfare, and in turn un knowingly neglects his immediate family. He comes across Danny, who is a kidney patient, and does have any thing except his passion for cricket. His lively charm, happy go lucky attitude( traces of Kal Ho Na Ho) and passion for cricket makes the hospital staff as his extended family.

Paresh Rawal has played a typical indian person, who has come to UK  to make something out of himself. He fails to make it big in UK, but try to keep his head high by critizing others. He is desperate for british citizenship and hopes that all his inferiority complexes will go away by that magic wand.

Kunal and Rimi( I hope that names are correct) are a young couple who realizes soon after marriage that they are not exactly each other types, as their hobbies and likings are different( cricket for examples has been taken as a medium to depict the differences), though their marriage has been a love marriage.

All the three people( Nana, Kunal and Paresh) go through their motions in the story and realize that doing small things to people actually matter a lot rather then trying to do something big at one shot. Life is all about GIVE and TAKE.

The narration is OK . Performances has been managed. Paresh Rawal is brilliant in showing frustation of an Indian on british soil. Nana is as per expectation, rude, tough, hard nut to crack. Danny has tried to do something different and manages actually. Rimi and Kunal are fine.

Music is good and cinamatography as per naration.

Its not actually a movie about cricket, as the name suggests( it could have been a negative factor in keeping family audiences off); but other wise a decent flick.

Over all, a clean movie which comes and goes through your eyes without irritation. Good time pass.
