Story:

I have read enough number of books to realize that a book is successful when even those who have not read it, are talking about it. This seven-book-series has proved to be a historical epitome of the popular saying “Love it, Hate it but you can simply not ignore it”True, there is no way of ignoring these books and the hype with which the last part appeared…..

Even God must have come down to check out the thrill. I have been a dedicated potter maniac for the past 8 years. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows arrived in the market with tremendous amount of expectations and a hell lot of pressure on the author, Joanne Kathleen Rowling.

This in itself makes things extremely difficult for the book. Also the fact that this is the end, instills the feeling of the last ball to go for a six. But does it…does it not…is a tricky question. The book begins from where the previous one finished.

Shock over the death of professor Dumbledore, curiosity to recognize R.A.B. and

finally, the mission to be accomplished by the protagonist. In the early beginning itself, death seems to become an essential character of the book. We also understand that each character grows and learns to conquer fear so as to be potent enough to conquer death.

Personally, I have always admired how easily the author has resisted portraying her central character as a saint. She has always exhibited Harry as a boy with his own flaws…but in this book he is a man with flaws. You need to read, observe and analyze this one.

There are some disappointments also. The biggest being the epilogue. It is preposterous. Also the battle is quite feeble. I don’t know about others but I really missed Hogwarts in this one. There is less humor and

also less involvement of the characters other than the trio.

To conclude, this one is not my favorite among the seven but yes, since it is the last part, it is the most significant. If you have been a potter fan even for an instant…it is inevitable that when you put down this book after the last word of the last page, it is bound to leave something hollow in your heart.

When I finished with mine (the very day it came), I regretted having finished it so fast. It felt like a part of me had finally been ripped, separated…that there is a vacuum somewhere within me. Now there is

nothing to wait for, nothing to be curious about as far as this series is concerned. Since I don't know about the existence of the wizarding world, I can't comment on it. But being a muggle I know, Harry Potter is winner in our world. And it will take a person an age to create another HARRY POTTER.
