Frankly,I am a bit confused. Is this book only for children or is it also for adults. If its for children it should be more stimulating and interesting. If its for adults also then it should be a trifle more serious.Harry Potter is safe from danger because his mother gave up her life trying to save him? Will a noughties' kid buy that.I know a few kids and they don't quite believe this theory blindly. Then,it helps if there is a single story instead of many links to previous novels. It reduces the potency of the charm of the book!.I believe and I may be wrong that the magic should have some scientific basis instead of being a premise for cracking jokes. And Harry Potter seems to be the reason for Hogwarts' existence.Everyone seems to be working for the wellbeing of his excellency Potter Harry.I mean he is human give him some faults.Despite this its a wonderful book merely because its a treat to read. The language is simple and extremely witty.A child and an adult would love it equally for its brilliance.
In brief, the story. Its Harry's third year at Hogwarts.A dangerous murderer called Sirius Black has escaped from the high security wizard prison at Azkaban.Black is believed to be after Harry's life and comes to Hogwarts looking for him.Meanwhile Hermione has a new cat Crookshank while Ron's rat Scabbers is not doing too well. There is also a new Dark Arts teacher Professor Lupin.Does Harry find out who was responsible for revealing all to Voldemort? Is there a werewolf on the campus? How is Harry's godfather saved?Find out in 'Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban' by J.K.Rowling.
