Story:

For all those of you who haven't read a Harry Potter (yeah rite!) novel yet and for all those of you who have read it but haven't understood it yet, to clarify any myths that may be floating around herez what the book is really about.

Myth #1 : The main character is Harry Potter.

The main character is Lord Voldemort and NOT Harry Potter. Harry Potter is basically some dumb kid with a scar on his head who just has some unbelievable dumb luck !

Lord Voldemort, I like to call him Voldy for short is the main dude in the book. Hez the guy with all the dark magic who can do really cool stuff. Infact he can't even be killed, now thats really something. All Harry Potter can do is make his hair grow back over night, and speak to snakes which in part is thanks to Voldy again, besides that hez a plain old no body. If it wasn't for Voldy, the book would have no story and Harry would have no life.

Myth #2 : The Philosopher's Stone is what everyone dreams off.

First, for all those who have no idea what the philosophers stone is... well its this stone which produces all the gold you want and also makes you live as long as you like.... Who wouldn't want that ?? Lets just see about that....

Well lets assume of all people ''I'' just happen to be lucky enough to get this gold mine and immortality giving stone. I can just picture myself with all that money.... what wouldn't I be able to do!! In my DREAMS !!! I'd be getting frigging Income Tax Raids on my house everyday, getting hauled to jail the next for having undisclosed income... like any IT officer will believe that I have something called a Philosopher's stone.... lets see an Supreme Court Ruling on that !! Even if I do win in court, the Budget will get ammended to tax Philosopher Stone Income at 100% else who knows I may start a site like Tehelka.com and use all the money I have to buy the entire government. On top of that if any of the underworld people found out... stone or no stone.... forget not having to worry about ever getting old and dying I'll probably get shot the second I leave my house and then mugged!!

Myth #3: Harry Potter is meant for children.

Well if it is then things have surely changed since I was a kid, and I just turned 21 so it wasn't all that long back, but I don't remember reading very many books as a child which started off with the parents of a baby being killed in page 4 of the book !! Oliver Twist isn't a children's book as far as I'm concerned its just some depressing book that kids are forced to read as some stupid supplementary english lesson so that doesn't count as an example. Little Men may count but again you wouldn't mistake that for an Enid Blyton book by any chance.

Myth #4: Life is better with magic !

Most certainly is NOT ! The characters keep putting curses on each other for half the time, and spend the other half being hacked to little pieces by these wierd animals. The funny part is that the so called normal people in the books (muggles) don't know about wizards... maybe thats because wizards stay camouflaged and also keep wiping people's memories out, but why on earth do people not seem to have seen any of the wierd creatures I can't figure.... 'cause according to the book dragons and unicorns and stuff are just all over the place !!

Myth #5: Broom sticks can fly !

Well why not you would say... well assume they could fly.. in which case they would have to have some kind of anti-gravity device in them since they dont seem to be driven by any kind of thrust or internal propellant like rocket fuel. In which case they should work in space... which logically goes to assume that wizards would be familiar with space travel.... and I'm sure the books would have mentioned the fact that a wizard was the first human to step on moon... and also that they had ventured out of the solar system as well.... I don't know but I can see NASA going out of business very fast...... our very own ISRO and geosynchronous sattellite would also be a short lived glory.

Myth #6: This was a review of the book called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone.
