I am new in this list of MouthShut.
Ok. Now let’s get straight to the point. I had read these 4 books of “Harry Potter” by this so-called author J.K. Rowling, but I have come to the point that this AMATEURISH work is nothing but total lack of imagination and Rowling is nothing but a PLAGIARIST!!!!
All the lore and all the escapist facts of the book are all borrowed ideas. (Even the Philosopher’s Stone) They are derived from the lore of British Isles and Scandinavia.
All the nomenclature is either derived from some movies or old English as she claims it. Even the name of the wizard-hero HARRY POTTER is not patented. She borrowed it from the movie “TROLL” !! The name Hermoine comes from Shakespeare’s play—A Winter’s Tale.
The Narration is too boring. If you have liked this Book(or rather being more precise, you’ve loved it ,you are a fanatic!), all I can say is that you haven’t read many books and your knowledge does not go beyond the fences of your small little speaks-to-you-follow-the-hype society. I do not mean that what is complex to understand can only be a scholarly work. Have any of you read J.R.R. Tolkien’s (the author of Lord of the rings and Silmarillion, Roverandom etc) book THE HOBBIT is shows the author’s dedicated work for his children. I even appreciate other authors like Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton.
Secondly, J.K. Rowling did all that for money. Its not even 5 years since the books were published and the movies are getting filmed. She has earned a lot from all that merchandise. She has finally claimed that she will abandon Harry Potter after the 7th book and try her hand at adult fiction. And how many of you know that JK ROWLING TURNED DOWN STEVEN SPEILBERG just because he was casting an American actor for the lead role. She did all that for money. Let me give u an e.g. JRR Tolkien, the author of Lord of the Rings was offered a-one-in-a-lifetime-opportunity of filming his books by the BEATLES. But he rejected.
So please think about it.(to fans)
