Why the name? Those guys like to play'YMCA-numbers' like D.I.S.C.O. The people look lost. The RJ seems to be suffering from I-like-to-bore-you syndrome. Several elements are missing.
Hard Rock in terms of decor, sound system, sheer ambience and'internationalness' isn't as impressive as the one I saw in Bombay. Do check that outlet near Worli. That’s the right place to be with your GF(s);). Its way better than the one here in Bangalore. On Saturday nights you get to see lot of DKNY miniskirts, Gucci tops(well actually'Toppings'), Versace handbags and D&G stilettos portrayed by bombshell babes with moronic & dud uncles wearing gold chains which look thicker than a Dobermans metal strap. You can find some hot looking gujju n marwari gals saying "*Backstreet Boys Heavy Metal ma saru Band Che *(BSB rocks in Heavy Metal genre!)"
Hard Rock Cafes as seen in the West are iconic for - memorabilia and merchandise. The red velvet walls are studded with 80+ well lit glass cases displaying fascinating Rock legend memorabilia. The food and drinks are way expensive than most of the pubs of the same standard. Grub with limited booze for two would lighten your wallet by Rs 2000. A small Bacardi Breezer would cost you 250 bucks, Long Island 350 bucks whereas a small Jack Daniels costs 400.
Bangalore has much better crowd though. The music sense here in Bangalore is the best in India. It’s Mumbai where people have more money than sense of music who visit this place.(Nothing personal against Mumbaiites. Its their choice of music which I hate!).
HRC gives me an impression of some MLTR modified version of a McDonalds outlet. Or, in practical language, a place where I would want to hang myself. Over and over and over again. I was there with my friends Rolly, Kristy and Mano. We got so bugged that we got back home and decided to watch some DVD's on TV.
A visit to HRC is a very very forgettable experience. So if you don't want to forget your visit.please don't visit;)
