The shot opens with a turbaned guy cycling somewhere, suddenly his cycle comes off...quite litrally. A car passes him by and he sees similar guys on the side... the setting now we understand is in the times of maharajas. He then comes at thegate, which is about to be closed, jumps over the fence,He sees some of his friends perched on what is supposed to be a lampost and a lady is playing tennis.
He passes the swimming pool...inside the palace, it's about to get dark..and the old king is about to sit for dinner. The camera turns to the chandelier which have slaves hanging..the guy reaches ..removes his shawl and somehow as the king is seated to drink his soup..the guy comes in the middle of the chandilier and pops in something. The soundtrack "Tera Man roshan" is in full flow, and he smiles..his teeth are white and shining like a torchlite! All others also smile. "TERA DIL ROSHAN TO YEH JAHAAN ROSHAN, MUSKURALE ,MUSKURALE,JAG MAGA LE" the song goes ...and all the guys he came across are also smiling and all are alight!! The tennis court is also lit up, so is the inside of a swimming pool with these guys smiling. The chandilier is also alight and so is a marriage function. The song continues...and then Happy Dent white Cheiwing gum..shot of a paace in jaipur. The shot ends with a guy sitting smiling and insects of the night surrounding him.
This is an unusual ad. Almost a minute long...quite entertaining when you see it a number of times. Although whole setting speaks that this ad is expensive but the humor is quite a knock out. The creative seems to have taken it a bit further where ORBIT left off (the ad where a buffalo is shown chewing ORBIT white). What I liked about this ad is it is so earthy, makes you smile (ya muskurale) and does make the point across. So to end i'd say Chaba Chewing gum muskura har dum!! Hats off to something as wierd but great advertising.Watch it...althout the imagination is a bit far fetched but just for fun!!
