I had bought my santro xing gls in november 2010. the car started having a whistling noise from the engine 10 days after buying. On my first service when the 1 st service was due, I asked for a pick up for service from dealer hans hyundai, moti nagar. The driver whi came to pick up the car asked me the complaints if any. on telling him that there is a loud whistling noise from the engine he told me that it is a normal sound. I told him that I have another santro and there is no noise in it.


He told me that it is normal and I am sensitive. I told him that at least get it checked at showroom or let me write in complaint book. he just told me to sign the delivery and not to fuss. this blew my patience and I refused to hand him over th car and complained to the service center. any way when I got the car serviced from them after another pick up service after a week.


I told them about the noise and that lock on left door is not working. I told them that they can keep the car as long as they want but rectify the noise and lock. In the evening I was told over phone that everything is fine and not to worry. On receiving the car the lock and the noise were as it is which I told the service center. As usual they told me that everything is rectified and if I have problem I should come myself which I could have done myself for the new car in the first instance if I had the time.


Now when the 2nd service wasdue, I called them today and asked for pick up for service.


The women who picked up the phone was rude and told me that there are some issues which she does not know so they cannot pick up the car. I told her that the issues were from my side that the car still has a loud whistling noise and I had tolerated it for 3 months now.


I then spoke to the so called(claimed to be) GM of service centre on number 9810611070. He told me that since there were some issues which could be related to payment so he will inquire. I told him that since it was first free servive the bill was rs 0 so issue of payment does not arise. I also upraised him about the drivers incident and unrectified complaints since last time in the brand new car. He told me that his staff is very well behaved and that he has never received any complaints from any one. And that it is usually the customer who must have done something since his staff is very good. I told him that I was giving him a feedback about his branch and he should take it positively and try to rectify it. He was not prepared to listen and told me many times that it is usually the customer who is at fault and he was doing a seva to customers by doing pick drop as a favour to them.


He told me that I was threatning him when I told that he as GM should listen to compliants or there are other forums to complaint. He wa sso adamant on defending the driver that I suspect he may not be the GM or not fit to be at hyundai. He told me he will get back to me, which I knew he never will.


The problem of whistling noise still persist and the lock still as it is.


Please do not buy anything from hans hyundai moti nagar or worse get it serviced from them as they are rude , unreceptive and incompetent people behaving as if they are doing a free service to community. It is the because of people like these that our country is lagging behind and becoming inreasing difficult to deal with car dealers whose behaviour magically changes once they take payment after selling the car.
