Arjun may have tried hard but he did not look like bihari boy he was too urban for the role.sharaddha looked pretty. I admire her for being multitalented but in this movie she too looked little weak in playing riya. Although sharaddha can be spared becouse she looked stunning in movie and also becose I love her but scrutinising arjun I would say he should have worked harder for his role. Novel is far better than movie. I had read chetan bhagat novel half girlfriend, I was only in theatre to see them come alive on celluloid, But they failed. After a while it grew more and more boring. In novel it was well written so it seemed that madhav stalking riya seemed genuine and driven by love but in movie due to poor portrayal it seemed more of stalking in negative way. It seemed like a mad dog who wants his bone anyhow. I knew the plot. Cinematography was good. This kind of movie is difined my music which was not great. I liked only one song phir bhi tumko chahunga.
STORY
madhav is from bihar, slow in english. He like people who can speak english and admire them. He also wants to learn the language. I gets admission in a delhi's collage on sports quota. He is great at basketball . Riya is native delhi girl. She is great at english. She likes basketball and is a player in girls collage squard. Madhav falls for riya. It was kind of love at first sight. They come closer due to basketball. She admired the way madhav played basketball and wanted to learn so they make a deal of helping out each other. Madhav was living his dream but riya had no idea that he was in love with her. By being influenced by one of his friends madav asks riya to give their relationship a name and the name she gives was HALF GIRLFRIEND. madhav was ok with it for a time but becouse of constant pressure of his friends he misbehave with her and jeopardise his relationship with her. After this madhav regreats his behaviour and riya leaves the collage after a while. But had something planned for them. They meet on and off but none of them confess their felling for one another. At last after great deal of longing and stalking madgav finally gets the girl.
