I bought a box of gulab jamun from haldiram sweets, vip road kolkata. The box had 6 gulab jamuns, when i went to the shop i tasted a few sweets including gulab jamuns which was fresh and i liked it. Feeling good about the sweets, i ordered a box of gulab jamuns (6 pieces), i also made a point to ask the person at the counter if it was fresh and he said they are fresh and has been packed today, coming home,
I had my dinner and then opened the box of gulab jamuns, i cut half of it and put it my mouth, immediately i felt sick and felt like puking, i had food poisoning after consuming the sweet and when i looked closely at the box, it had fungus all over it meaning the food was rotten and not fit to be eaten.
I was shocked and i immediately dialled the number given in the bill, i spoke to jaikishen, 9830011127, who was rude and was very casual about the entire episode when i asked him how can haldiram sell this kind of sweets, he was of the opinion stating " do whatever you want".
