My Best Asset
Jul 17, 2001 02:45 AM 6175 Views

I have always had rather long hair.  My best advice to any one, would be to treat your hair as if it were your best asset. Regular brushing and cleaning is very good for your hair.

I my self have always used Head And Shoulders shampoo to wash my hair. I use this not because of dandruff but because I like the product. It keeps my hair healthy and shinning. I but on a rare occurence will use conditioner on my hair. It is much better to use a hair brush and bring out the natural oils in your hair. The only time that I do condition my hair is after being in a swimming pool. The clorine in the water is enough to kill anything plus it has a tendency to turn my hair green.

Many women and men wear their hair in a pony tail or in braids. I find this style very handy with my long hair and I learned long a go never to use a rubber band in my hair. The rubber band will cut and break you hair so it is better to wear scrunchies or cloth covered elastic in your hair.

If you use barretts in your hair, never wear metal ones, this is also bad for your hair.

I am also not real big on blow drying my hair. The heat is very damaging and it will cause your hair to break and split. Damaged ends are not very pretty. I do use a curling iron on my hair but I use a very low heat. While I know that I am causing damage to my hair I want to keep it to where it isn't being done to it at one time.

Going to the local beauty shop to keep you hair trimmed of split ends not only makes your hair look better but it will also help in the growth of your hair.
