I've been using HTC Touch for the last four months and I have found this phone as one of the good touch phones in the market, at the moment.

The phone has a good touch screen, HTC being the company which primarily used to produces the touch screen for other companies, to start with. It has a touch flow system which has hotkeys. The touch flow option allows you to browse through all the major features in the phone. You can also have 9 quick dialing numbers option.

The music, picture, quality is good. The headphones with which it comes with is pretty good.

It comes with a 2.0mpx camera, but the pictures are not very sharp. Doesn't have a flash in it, so you need good light to get a good picture.

The PDA Part

This PDA comes loaded with Windows 6.1 Professional and also with microsoft office package. The package includes-MS Word, MSExcel & MSPowerPoint-viewer.

I have found this very useful, while travelling. I can easily edit my document and manage my excel sheet. The synchronisation option is also available which helps you in keeping your documents uptodate.

It also comes loaded with .pdf viewer from adobe.

*THE PHONE

*The Processor of the phone is pretty fast and in fact, it handles multiple programmes pretty too well. You can be running pretty too many programmes, without affecting speed for any programme.

The Phone also comes loaded with 128 MB RAM and 64MB ROM.

You can upgrade the memory by using the memory stick upto 2GB. (I got 1 GB MicroDisk free with the phone).

The phones battery gives a backup for 2-3 days. It lasts for one and half day for sure, even when you use the music and attend the calls, play game, watch movie, browse net together.

The phone also works as a modem when connected to PC, if you want to access the internet.

*INTERNET FACILITY

*The browsing facility of the phone is pretty straight forward and works well with many a website. Depending on the service that you use, the connectivity is bettered. I use a regular data plan of vodafone and I have no problem in the connectivity or the speed, even if the websites comes with flash animations. With loaded graphics website, the downloading time for a page in my connection plan is a max. of 30 secs to 1 min. normal pages with datas and pictures does not take more than 5-10secs.

It has supports various options like WiFi, LAN connectivity, EDGE connectivity, WLan. All the services available in Indian market it supports, with the exception of 3G.

*Customer Service

*Customer Service of HTC is good. You send a mail to them, for which they answer you in 24hrs time. I found it pretty good, even if it is to just clarify your doubts on the phone.

*Overall

*Overall the phone is too good for the price. Though the MRP is Rs. 20, 000.00 the offer price can now vary anything between 15k to 17k, depending on the outlet. It comes with a leather soft pouch and the shell is also good, as it does absorb shocks, when accidentaly falls.

I strongly recommend this phone for anyone who would like to go for PDA of beginners level at a competitive price.

IT'S VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.

WARNING!

If you are looking for a 3G phone, a service which was just inaugurated the other day in India, and yet to be tendered out, this is not the phone for you.
