I must say I bought this phone after a truly disappointing experience with nokia N72, (real bad phone), so I made up my mind my next phone would not be a nokia, initialy I had thought of sony ericsson but after comparing with htc s710 I felt it would be a much better buy.
According to me the htc s710 is quite a looker, its very well designed and full marks to the designers for hiding the sliding qwerty keyboard so wel.. none of my friends realised it was there. I mainly bought this phone because of its wifi connectivity and I must say its a breeze accessing the net, u can use it for skype as well as windows live messenger.
the slide out keyboard too is pretty well built, a few keys maybe akwardly placed but all in all itz a good effort
lack of 3g and fm radio dint bother me too much, 3g is not available in delhi and well im not into fm either.
music quality on the speakers is above average and on the headphones is pretty amazing
a drawback with the camera is the lack of flash however ithe two megapixel does make up with itz really high resolution.
battery life too well could have been better but it ll last for 2 dayz . with 2 hrz of music, hf hour of wifi and loads of talking. Comes with usb charging sometig I missed in the n72, amazing voice functions reads sms and all.
Now we come to storage out of 128 mb windows eat up quite a lot and ur basically left with around 40 mb, which is well ok I guess, coming to ram 64 mb with a not so gr8 processor 201 mhz processor, I ll admit u can feel the lag at times but im ok with it
its weighs around 120 g with battery and feels light in the pocket, it playes any format with a few xtra software and id mention again the 2.4 inch screen is a delight
get a big micro sd card, I got a gb and u wont feel a difference in terms of performance
id say go for it >~!
