Hi All,
Its around 6 months since I am using this phone. Its a great Charm!
I will go through Its Pros and Cons rating 1-5:
Looks: 5(The slight curve gives a different look)
QWERTY: 5(buttons are well spaced) should also get 6 for this.
Gorilla Screen: 5
Durability: 5(7-8 times have accidently slipped from my hand, but still without scratch, without dismantle & without Dis-functioning)
Facebook Button: 3(Does what it should)(3 because not a facebook fan) but I am sure, it will be 5 for those who use it frequently.
Interface: 4(As most of the applications given by HTC for this phone work well with landscape screen), however, the android developers generally leave out this type of screen options.
Volume both ringer and speakers: 3(Medium Volume), but can be 5 for those who are on bluetooth headset or headphones.
GPS: 4(Mine connects within 10-15 seconds in open to sky area / car)(4 becuase I have seen some great connectivities in high end phones.)
3G: 4(Works Good) Max. Speed tested is 35MB of file downloaded in just 40 sec. Youtube videos HD quality plays smoothly.
Camera: 2(2 becuase though with 5 MP, have seen many other phones, particularly samsung giving good images with even 1.3 MP) - Night vision is not satisfactory. Auto Focus frustrates me in low light area. However Videos - Quality can be considered good compared to other phones of this range.
Now the most irritating CON of this phone:
Internal Memory: Rating 3 - 2 - 1 - 0 - 5 - 4.(3 when you first start using the phone and find that available free Internal memory is just around 80-90 MB out of total 150 MB, 2 when you start using facebook, twitter, mails, downloading applications etc., 1 when you start getting internal memory notifications in between surfing net / updating installed applications, 0 when you start to know that inspite of the facility of moving the application to SD, major system related files still remains in Internal Memory and then you search for your priority applications only to be on the phone.
Hmmmmm. Why 5 and then 4 .(5 because there is a facility to backup your contacts, applications etc. and then by reseting the phone, you will be surprised to note that the available free memory jumps to around 115 MB including the restored applications you have downloaded(5 to 6 apps in my case). this keeps me thinking that on purchase of new set, it gives less memory than what you get after reset.
next . is rating 4 when you understand that free inernal memory gets reduces slowly as you use your phone. again to repeat the same story.
I think, there should be some facility made by developers to completely move the applications to SD and also run them smoothly, as the total RAM and SD are 512 MB and 32 GB.
The second Con is Battery Life: 3(I have to charge my phone within every 18-20 hours. My daily usage is around 15-20 calls of average 2 mins., 30% online time when I am home and surfing,
The third is FM Radio: 2 The connectivity is not good. Works differently at different places.
Hope this review helps who wants to buy it. 100% recommended who want to use it without much facebook, twitter or downloading of new applications / games.
Phone mostly useful for those who like: Form Factor, QWERTY, 3G, Android, Easy Interface, Speed.
