The HTC 10 is the new HTC flagship, bogged down by the burden of expectations. We went hands on with HTC 10 at its India launch and were mighty impressed with all that the new 10 has to offer.
HTC 10 looks gorgeous, in a typical HTC manner. Similar to its long line of predecessors, its a metal-unibody phone. One that takes cues from recently launched One A9, and yet retains its M series heritage. The design highlight her are chamfers in broad storke. The side edges have a unsymmetrical dual chamfers, leaving a thing straight line between them, where HTC houses ports, slots and buttons. Its feels super slick when held in hand, and the groovy texture on the power button makes a significant difference.
Whats on the inside is equally pleasing. There is Snapdragon 820 quad core SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, dual boomsound speakers, a fingerprint sensor clubbed with the capacitive home button and a clean, light sense software. The Ultrapixel camera is back on HTC, but this time around, the megapixel count has been increased from 4 to 12. Word on the street is that it is the best camera HTC has ever made, and that should work for most people.
All that adds up to a fine flagship alternative, laden with all bells and whistles. The only problem is the price, which is higher than some imposing rivals. You can buy HTC 10 online in India for 52, 990 starting from 6th June, 2016.
