I had very bad experience with this bank. I will tell you how these credit card companies chase you for a card and then withdraw them at their own convenience. HSBC credit card chased me to accept their card promising me some features. The guy who offered me the card requested me to accept the card and keep it even if I do not use it.
The guy said he had a deadline and needed a couple of more people to take the card to keep his job. Then I agreed to take the card.I got the card in Jan/Feb and come June I was jobless and relocated to a new city. I wanted to update my address and so I called up the customer care and they update my address but block the card too. In a couple of days, I call them and I am told if I don’t have a job, they will keep my card blocked. I was quite taken aback. Why did you issue me the card at all then?
You should have thought of all these things before issuing a card to anyone. I have a HDFC, Stanchart and Kotak card too and I did not face any of these issues with any of them. I have considerable credit limit and good features from them as well and that is the reason I did not want to take any other card from any other bank. But this attitude is quite a disappointment. A job cannot define my expense power! But good thing, I realize why people don’t deal with smaller banks.
