This is the bank you should go to apply for loan, if you can raise couple of lakhs last minute. This is because this bank is famous for disbursing couple of lakhs less than you have asked for. That too they do so in the last minute.
Couple of years back, I had applied for loan at their office near Wilson Garden in Bangalore. The staff at this office kept telling me that the loan is approved and it is just a matter of signature of the manager. They even told me that their person is outside the manager's cabin for his sign. and finally they told me it is not approved. If I remember corerctly, his name was Prasanna...he even promised that next day at 11.45am, the sanction letter would be delivered. When I called him next day, he started he started cancelling my call.
After this, I checked with couple of people from my office, and I came to know that they had either done the same thing or given few lakhs less than approved so last minutes my colleagues had to run around to arrange few lakhs. Finally I would say is, JUST BEWARE OF HSBC BANK. Go there only if you have ran out of other options. Think twice.
