I have been a customer of HSBC for almost three year now thats because unfortunately my company chose to open my salary account in the bank. I have had numerous bad experiences with HSBC. The customers service is simply pathetic, they generally treat you as a liability and no matter what your problem is they will ultimately try to sell you some of their investment scheme. At least that's what they do in the gurgaon branch. The problem almost never gets resolved. Most of the representative don't even know their own policies.
The only thing this bank is good at is coming up with schemes that can extract money from its customer...for example they provided me with a electronic device, which I did not want at the first place and I clearly told them so..but they insisted that nothing can be done and I will have to take the device..and if I loose that device I have to pay 500 Rs or something..so basically they will charge me for something that I dont want at the first place and they wouldnt do anything about it...another example...my card is expiring in 2 months and I am leavin the country in one month so I asked them to issue me a new debit card withing 15 days or something but the representative after explaining me his investment schemes for 30 mins said that it can not be done the new card will be issued only 15 days before the old card is due to expire.
I decided to go to ICICI tomorrow I will take out all my money and transfer to ICICI bank account will be really surprised if thr service will be as bad..
