I held credit cards of HSBCand Standarad Chartered. I was in Kuwait for business purpose and the same time America's Attack Started in Iraq and I could not leave Kuwait to collect my payments from Kuwaiti Customers as the situation in Kuwait was not trustful.
I came back to India after 3 months and found that all outstanding on my credit cards were not cleared by my office people. I contacted the bank HSBC and SCB and asked them to reduce the interest charged to me. Finally they came to a full and final settlement base and asked me to pay an amount which was interest free for the particular time.
I paid the amount in one time and the chapter was closed in 2003. Now I have credit cards for American Express Bank ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank with good credit limit but I found that whenever I apply for a Foreign Bank Card like Citibank or something it gets declined instantly. I was badly disappointed by this rejection as my financial position is very strong. I contacted the seniors in bank and ask the reason of the rejection.
Later on I found that my name is registered in Nagative List of Foreign Bank with Satyam Computers in Chennai. Now it is never possible for me get any finance facility rom any foreign bank.
If I want to remove the name from the list I will have to pay Compound interest from the time of settlement and take a chance if they could remove my name from the nagative list.
If they do like this I advice people to stop using the credit cards of Foreign Bank as they spoil our name. It is a big problem for me now. Is there anyone to help me in these regards.
