I paid MORE on HP's site for this laptop than the price available on Amazon. I've had a lot of laptops over the years(because I'm an OLD techie), including the best and latest Acer had to offer(weak keyboard and trackpad was not good), and a high end Macbook Air 2013(under-spec'd, no retina screen, non-touch.lots of dough for what you get.great keyboard and trackpad and a great piece of hardware, so still love it).
However, this is the best laptop I've ever owned and the best looking to boot. I mean, it's premium. I would actually give it 4.5 stars, however, because its trackpad is not first class. The trackpad on the MBA is easily superior, and the trackpad for my iMac desktop puts this one(and virtually every other trackpad) to shame. That is irrelevant to me, however, because as any techie knows, nothing beats a wired mouse for speed, precision, and versatility. That's what I use, and the entire experience with this machine is A level.Tech sites often but percentage scores(like on a test) on their reviews. This machine is a 95%.
