Never buy any HP products. Review on HP Pavilion DV2701TX

On one pleasant afternoon, I proudly bought a laptop, which is known as "HP Pavilion dv2701tx Special Edition Entertainment Notebook PC".

Since then, I have undergone a massive mental trauma.

These laptops have a special feature, called as 'NVIDIA graphic cards".

Due to a manufacturing defect in this card or whatsoever, the screen goes blank after every repair.

I called up n no. of call centers, both authorized and local, and everyone unanimously said the same thing, " arre saahab! HP Pavilion dv series ke laptop mein NVIDIA ka problem hai. Main ab tak saikadon laptop repair kar chuka hoon, but problem re-occurs again and again. If you insist, I will repair, but there wont be any guarantee."

After spending thousands of rupees, the laptop is still lying idle at my home, occupying space in otherwise small Mumbai houses. It teases me, It irritates me. I spent approx Rs 43, 000 of my hard earned money on this, just to find out that it is nothing better than a piece of junk.

Now I realize that I should have gone for other more sturdy options instead of falling for this fancy garbage.

Height of the matter is, if you call up their call center, an automated computer generated voice will keep on irritating you for a long time....such a pathetic customer service!!!!! One more interesting fact is that during the tele customer response, if you press the key for a new sale, the representative will pick up the phone immediately, however if you chose the option of 'service', you keep hanging.....all executives are busy!!!!

Sometimes I wonder "Have they put up some software inside which knows that now the laptop is out of guarantee, so its the time to start troubling the owner"?

I am again repeating that its not a one off case with my laptop. I came to know from various sources that HP laptops factory fitted with NVIDIA card have this irrepairable problem. Ironically, the so called MNC is not even willing to call back the faulty machines and replace it with operational ones.

I am feeling miserable, and cheated. I know I cant do anything else but to vent out my anger and frustration at this site. Thank you Mouthshut for the same.

I appeal you guys again to go for any stronger, sturdy products, but never, ever buy HP laptops, and for that matter, any HP brand, because their pathetic and indifferent customer services will be there for other HP brands as well.
