HP has a vendor called digitech in bangalore. They sold me a DV27XX pavilion laptop in Feb 2008 and promised me the world. they promised to give me a free data card and did not give me an invoice. I followed it up for 2 weeks after which they refused to even entertain me.
I wrote to HP customer care about this misdeed of their dealer and they said I could redeem it online. I needed an invoice number which I did not have. When I pointed this to HP, they just gave me a complaint id CCHSAP134745. This was all. Since then, they have not bothered to reply.
So many reminders and I get no support. It looks like HP endorses the misdeeds of their vendors. If you ever come across these vendors sitting in malls like Total, forum or somewhere else, please be careful. They will trick you and HP will not help. The laptop as such is not so bad. I would suggest that you upgrade the RAM to a 2GB.
