I had decided to buy a good product between Dell, Hp and Sony. After some market survey and information collection finaly chose Hp.
Bought HP Pavilion dv2910Tx laptop 1 month back. As such no problem in use , except , battery back-up is extreemly poor . It gives only 1 hr. battery back-up with recommended balance power mode. With High performance mode it becomes even shorter. ( though it was informed by Dealer that battery back-up is for 3 hrs .
Though I am yet to contact Hp service , I am not happy with battery performance.
Feature wise it is value for money with 320 GB HDD , 3 GB Ram, Core2 Duo processor , remote control , WiFi and with host of other port choices, free carry case . Windows vista Home premium is preloaded and also has a Kodak Digicam offer (saves 5000 Rs - if you are not particular about any brand or specification)
Speed is slow. Everybody said it is for windows vista . But with 3 GB ram it was still expected to be little better .
Has problem about installation of software even if the authorized ones like Tata indicom Pug to Surf software had problem getting installed.
HP should also publish their price in the internet for more transparency.
Definitely not value for money and I shall not recommend it. Better product expected from Hp at 50000 bucks .
