HP4100 is a good printer if you require high volume printing. But be sure to see if your month printing volume is within the specified limit of Hp - 150,000 pages/month. In reality if you have printing volume of 2,000 to 3,000 pages per day it is ideal.
I required a printer for very large volumes as there was budget constraints, I chose this printer over the higher capacities printers. The price of this was very right around Rs. 64,000/-. The HP5000 or HP9000 series printers are more expensive. But it might be wise to go these higher end printers in case your print volume is large or the media used is different (could be pre-printed).
We have printed over 2,00,000 pages in a month and it has worked beautifully. One word of caution. HP requires you to change the maintenence kit after every 2,00,000 pages, costing approximately Rs. 27,000/-. It is more economical to go to authorised Service Provider of HP who will charge much lesser. It would be advisable ot take the service pack warranty from HP at the outset as then the parts are replaced free of cost.
Te quality of printing is very good, provided you use original cartridges. The warranty doesnt work incase you use refilled cartridges. The printer also gives problem if large volume of printing is done using refilled cartridges.
In short it is a good product. But incase you are Data Processing company or a job work data centre, it might be more economical to buy a second hand 4+ printer as these are more rugged and requires less maintenence.
