I expected it to be somewhat lesser than the Pro 500 but it is truly an awful printer. I had to print 8, 000 invitations but there were only 5 lines per invitation and I only used black ink. By the time I finished the job I had gone through 5 black cartridges and the color cartridges were completely empty although I wasn't printing in color.
The invitation size was 7x10 and I could not use Tray 2 at all because the paper wasn't 8.5x11. It prints very slowly unless 8.5x11 paper is used. On the invitation paper it would stop and clean itself on every 2nd page if I tried to use Tray 2. Take my advice do not buy this printer unless you only plan to use 8.5x11 paper and print a few pages here and there. Not good for home office use just occasional use.
Exceptional printing speed and the JetDirect network functionality worked very well on Linux, the printer was automatically detected over SNMP, and no drivers needed to be installed. Photo quality is far superior to the previous inkjet printer this replaced. Photos look fantastic!
