A device with the features of a Scanner, a Printer and a Copier is the necessity of every Office. But the modern education system makes such a device a necessity of every household too. It is practically difficult to go to the concerned shop for our printing needs. Assignments, projects have become a part and parcel of our daily life and owing Hewlett Packard DeskJet is indeed a luxury…!
I bought HP DeskJet 2235 last year and since then the printing, scanning work isn’t a strain. HP is the most reliable brand one can ask for. All its products are constantly reviewed and they aim at customer satisfaction. Operating DeskJet is as easy as operating a computer. There aren’t any complications involved. If someone like me can operate it, anyone on this earth can… ;-)
After making the necessary connections with the chord (accompanied with DeskJet), there is a CD which one should install …The installation is done within minutes after which an icon (HP Solution Center)is created on the desktop. This will help you choose better options while scanning and printing. The setup can be installed from its site as well. HP Solution Center also updates you with the quantity of ink available in the cartridges.
Cartridges:
There exist two Cartridges. Refilling the same cartridge can be done up to 5 times. If you find the print is a little blur, immediately go for refilling. If you wait till the ink is totally exhausted refilling won’t work and you'll have to buy a new cartridge instead. On your first purchase you will get the introductory 3ml cartridges (one black & one color). Changing a Cartridge is quite easy and simple.
Paper Type:
One can use Plain paper, Legal paper, Cards, Envelopes, Transparency film, Labels, Photo paper for printing. The paper quality determines the number of copies. However if you are printing text, one cartridge can print up to75 sides of an A4 size paper.

Scanner:
While scanning, there are two options to choose from… Scanning a document & Scanning a Photo… Depending on the requirement one can opt for the suitable option. It gives a clear scan. The scanning command can be given either by clicking on the printer directly or by opening the Solution Center.
Printer:
There are two options to choose... Either opt for Color or Black & White. The printing speed is pretty good and so is the quality. One command can print 10 copies at a stretch.
Make sure that if you give a printing command for 10 copies, the output tray should have 10 papers. Always check the quantity of papers before giving a command.
Copier:
Copying (Xeroxing) can be done even when the computer is switched off. It is done at our convenience with ease. Opting for photocopying at a Xerox shop is any day cheaper. But in urgency of a situation this does help a big deal.
Operating System Compatibility: Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME, Vista, XP Professional and home, Mac OS X version: 10.3.9 and 10.4.
