I have purchased HP 640c in 2001. I am not frequent user of this. So not writing for its performance but by cheating from HP company itself or some mediator(importer, assembler or anybody).
I have purchased #20 black and #49 color cartridges.Now here is trick. Copmany / Vendor sell us it as a its cover model
-> for black i.e. for #20 the cover number is hp c6614d, even same on the polybag in which cartridge lies inside.
The outer box clearly shows the cartridge is of 28ml, in the picture.Here magic happens when you cut open the polybag it reveals #20 hp c6614d and only of 20ml.
-> for color i.e. for #49 the cover number is hp 51649a, even same on the polybag in which cartridge lies inside.
The outer box clearly shows the cartridge is of 22.8ml, in the picture.When you cut open the polybag it reveals #20 hp 51649g and only of 11ml.
Thus we are cheated from either company or its mediators. These american copmany are ’’robbers’’ that we know they use our knowledge power and fool us.
They hire us to cheat us. Thats what britishers had done in INDIA.
Now things are moe sophisticated and complex, these model of the cartridges I have listed are avalable in category of Economy and Regular user which is clearly listed on some European sites. The price of the economy cartridge is approx. half, but what we pay is double of that.
But our fellow INDIANS are cheated, so when you buy cartridge next time, check out how much you are cheated, even you can check recently bought!
