I bought this laptop in June 2006 and I write this review in October 2007."Touch wood" I have so far have had a pleasant experience using this laptop. Easy to use, great mouse pad buttons, not sticky like most laptops. The Laptop is far better than Lenovo N3000 series on many counts.
Pros: Strong build, smart packaging, good battery life (3 hours initially), Came with licensed Win XP Pro, Excellent speakers and sound quality
Cons: mmm... just one, the standby button near the top left often gets touched and softest touch makes the laptop goes bye bye (stand by mode)
I had one problem (major one). The display had a horizontal line running around May 2007 and that was replaced free of cost under the onsite warranty of 1 year. Had it been a few months more, I wouldnt be writing this review :).This product isnt available with dealers, I bought it directly from HP India website.
Had the screen not been changed, the review would have been a perfect 5.
