I have HP
Photosmart 3108 all in one machine which started facing problem after about 15 months of working. The machine didn’t POWER ON, I checked power cords and all
connections but it didn’t switch ON.
I lodged a
complaint with HP call centre who then gave me the complaint no. 8010285310
and directed me to AUTHORISED HP service centre in my city, which is REDINGTON
INDIA with their offices across
Mumbai. I selected the Andheri office which is
nearby.
As per their instructions I went to the HP authorized service centre in Andheri(Redington
India) and since my machine wasn’t under warranty( I had bought 15 months back)
, without even looking at the problem they told me that the machine cannot be
repaired since it was a ULR machine and can only be replaced if under warranty.
Without warranty I had a choice of getting it repaired from outside or some
other centre(Adonis electronics) or just forget the
machine. Kind of USE AND THROW( exact words used by HP support centre). It seems this is a common problem with these kind of machinea and is never repaired. They even offered "ATTRACTIVE BUY-BACK" offers where they would give me a SUPER DISCOUNT of Rs. 500/- against my "old" machine on purchase of new such machine.
If this is the kind of support / service HP offers to their customers, then God help their customers. I am really frustrated as I had bought this machine just 15 months back for Rs. 13, 000/- and now its all down the drain simply because they do no repair!
Next time I am going for EPSON or CANON or some random brand, atleast they will get the machine repaired if faulty.
