I do not exactly remember how but I read more and more about mechanical watches on the internet. Primarily on https://watchuseek.com and https://pmwf.com . These are lovely sites about watches. It is then that I was reintroduced to HMT watches. But it seems that HMT does not have many outlets. I went to some outlets or rather watch sellers who stocked HMT but was not able to find an automatic watch. Here I may add for information of those who do not know what are automatic watches. First most of the world's most expensive watches are automatics. Automatic watches do not need winding everyday, nor do they need batteries they just take energy from the movement of your hand. Now this is just amazing! This fact is what made me obsessed with autmatic watches. now when I went to the market the only automatics they had were Rado, Tissot or Rolex. the cheapest was a Swatch automatic at around 7000 but it was too small. then I googled and came across this article

It talks about how ebay has become a major supplier of HMT watches and so I bought HMT NASL 03 on ebay from the seller that article mentions that is kvsuperstore . I loved the experience because the watch was big and it was automatic and most importantly it was cheap. The only disadvantage is that the watch stops if not worn for a day and then one has to set the time again but realization that I am using a movement which is even used by rolex etc. gives me a high.
I plan to shop for more HMT watches as they are so cheap!
I am not going to buy an expensive quartz watch ever again after I came to know they have nil resale value.
maybe someday I can also save enough money to buy a Rolex! Wish me luck!
