After the completion of the lock-in period for my ULIP plan policy, I requested HDFC LIFE to change my policy status to "Paid-Up" status as paying premiums are voluntary decision after completion of 5 yrs of the lock-in period. On that, they replied to me that your policy will automatically get converted to Paid-Up status after the discontinuation. I have confirmed with them about this innumerable number of times. But after 2 months of completion of the lock-in period, I was shocked to see they HDFC Life has terminated my policy and my balance got all negative!!


I have raised level1 complaint, I have raised level2 complaint, I have even have raised my complaint with IRDAI, I also have raised the complaint to escalation1@hdfclife.com but none of them have replied me ever and it's been now more than 4 months that I have been continuously communicating with them for 4 months but they are not giving me proper information, they are sending me all vague replies. Importantly, nobody is taking accountability, a responsibility to address my issue !!!


In spite of communicating well before the time a lot of times to change my policy status to Paid-Up and in spite of getting a confirmation email from hdfc life that my policy will be changed to paid-up, none from hdfc life has acted on it and how my policy got terminated I don't know. HDFCLIFE did not even send me emails about all the changes they're doing to my policy at the backend and I was not informed about any of there actions!!!!


HDFC LIFE is so incompetent to even stand in the market. They have hired a bunch of nincompoops that they are unable to address customers' issues or even the smallest thing like to act upon customer's requests even after saying it very clearly a number of times!!!


HDFCLIFE misled its own customers and even try harder to sell their policies by gaslighting and manipulating you. I am shocked to tell you this I was approached by my personal banker from HDFC to take the policy from HDFC LIFE and he even called 4-5 people more around me to convince me to take the policy!!! Little I'd known that time that this will going to create too much if trouble for me that it has even crossed limits to hamper my daily routine!!!


HDFC LIFE does not show any seriousness towards the issue and has lost all the credibility of its brand!!


HDFC LIFE has not taken the right care of their customer's requests and money and misled their customer by providing the wrong information and not doing what was conveyed!


HDFCLIFE has raised a big question on its existence as an insurance company and has lost all the credibility of the HDFC brand.


None of the representatives of hdfc life is literate enough to cater to customers' requests of changing my policy to "paid-up" status, which was demanded by me an innumerable number of times but still I see my policy online as terminated status!!!


This shows that none of the HDFCLIFE representatives are compatible with this kind of job and have does not meet up with standards of this kind of job!!!!


This is a huge gap and loophole!!


HDFC LIFE ignores their customers and do not take care of their customers request in spite of continuous communication for more than 4 MONTHS and have totally shown the careless attitude towards their customer's request, which was very simple, clear and easy request!!!


I also have one more ULIP plan policy with HDFCLIFE which was also given to me manipulatively by my personal banker of HDFC BANK, I so vary about it to pay my premiums as I have totally lost my trust on HDFCLIFE and they are only Taki g money from me every month and failing every time to act on customers request.
