I had invest my 5 years of saving with a view increase the value of my fund and to get tax benefits. At the time of investing the sales representative was pro-active and ensured that he helped me in every way to close the deal.
After about 3 months I realized that my funds were not growing because there were not many charges on the account. I didn't remember the Sales rep. mention about any of these charges. So I called the HDFC customer care and asked them to send me a copy of the policy. to my surprise the document had a list of all the charges but they were not signed by me. I realized that the sales rep. had signed on my behalf. I called him for a explanation, he tried to deny and eventually stopped picking my calls. The customer care also were not very helpful. After about 2 months of struggle of going to their head-office almost very day, I got my money back.
Please be extra carefull before investing with them.
