HDFC ergo is a worst Health insurance company. Never go for it. I have a credit card and got the call from them as it is an offer with the special customer, I tried and avoided not to take, but the way the guy spoke as he has targets to full fill and some short of stories, so I convinced and took the insurance. I am working from
Last 2 years and having corporate as well as agent sold insurance policy but never used it any time. This time it was an emergency and I my son had to gone for Fever & diarrhea, which has been found in 2 months back. As the hospital was a not in network hospital I had paid the bill to hospitals with approval HDFC Ergo but after 1 month they declined it saying I have not disclosed the diseases while taking the insurance. As per my submitted documents & the history which they concluded, I had mixed up the diseases with the history and disapproved the same. Dr also confirmed that it cannot be a more than 1 year old diseases, the existing disease was not any relation to the current treatment.
They troubled me to collect 1 years old documents from governments hospital & for existing diseases I have not take any treatments & not require in the future but still they rejected, They just you pay the policy amount you will not get any benefit.
They have given stupid reason saying you have send the request to the policy departments while I submitted all documents claim departments
The worst company I have seen in my life 1st don't trust on, some agents say something to sell policy by call and once we make request for claim they make silly statements.to reject the claim.
